Comments Thread For: Froch: Khan Worried About Brook's Punch on His Whiskers

Kell Brook defended his IBF welterweight title in Sheffield on Saturday night and then stepped up his bid to face Amir Khan. Sheffield's Brook thrilled his home city with a fourth-round stoppage of Romanian Jo Jo Dan, crowning his comeback from a life-threatening stabbing in Tenerife last summer.

It was Brook's first fight since beating Shawn Porter to win the world strap he had long coveted, and he left the baying crowd in little doubt as to who he wants next.

"If you're watching, come and get in this ring with me," Brook told Khan. Promoter Eddie Hearn added that Wembley Stadium was free for the pair on June 13.

WBA 'regular' super middleweight champion Carl Froch, who shares the same promoter as Brook, also called for Khan to take up the challenge.

At one time, Khan didn't want the fight because Brook didn't have a belt. Now he has a belt and still won't fight him. He claims he has a fight towards the end of May, but he has no opponent. Wembley is open the 2nd week of June, so that's only two weeks later. Khan needs to realize that if he beats Brook, he not only gets a belt, he would be considered the best in his country, which would make it more appealing to fight the best in America/Phillipines for a best in the World matchup.

Mayweather and Pac or going to have a rematch and then they will retire. If Mayweather does fight again, it won't be against Khan. It might even be aganst Brook in order to unify the titles and to mess with Khan's head even more.

      Diva Khan

Khan is trying to avoid Brook. There is something about Brook that scares Khan Away. Khan has been KTFO Twice, he uses that excuse that he is a better draw than Brook. Brook sold out the arena yesterday, brook is the Champion Khan is the Divas Champion and he is not willing to step up and Lose that title for a career high Payday.

I must agree . Until now I've always praised Kahn for being courageous enough to fight anyone and everyone in the past . He even attempted to avenge his KO loss but Garcia wanted no parts of a 2nd fights . Now it seems he's running scared from Brook , very surprising to say the least !

I don't think it could be put any clearer but lets first see what major opponent Khan has got set up for the end of May .
Lets see next week why Khan does not want the biggest purse of his career, the IBF welterweight title opportunity,uk bragging rights and to showcase himself at Wembley stadium in front of 80,000 fans and millions watching world wide and on PPV..........CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR THIS OPPONENTS NAME !!!!!!!

I agree with Froch, the fight needs to happen....I do however believe that Froch really wants to see Khan get knocked the F-uck out.
