I had it a draw myself but vanes coulda done more imo. Any of ya think him switching trainers midway through training camp affected him?

Meh, I thought Charlo deserved the win if either did. I thought it was easier to see 6 rounds he won than the other way.

I also scored it 6-4, but a draw would have been equally OK...

You lost by 2 rounds man, you threw less, landed less, and landed at a lower connect %. Charlo landed the cleaner punches and his jab was the difference in the fight.

Jermell only has 11 stoppages in 26 fights? Thought he had more than that.

His brother has 16KOs out of 21 wins. He seems to know how to close the show better than Jermell does.

I expected as much from Charlo, I was hoping for more from Vanes. For me that's the story of the fight.

Yeah I had fight draw or charlo by 1..either way vanes should have no complaints ...he mked that eye thing ..,that's why I leaned towards charlo too

I could get why Vanes would feel that way but the way the fight played out shows pretty much equal guys. Based on what I saw from both men I think Vanes is the better boxer, but that really didn't win him the fight because he didn't do enough with it with the opportunities he clearly had. I would say Charlo was the hungrier fighter and that is what won him the fight.

No real issue with Charlo getting the nod but it really did little to change my mind about him as a fighter, or even Vanes.
