The thing a lot of u r overlooking is that the ROUNDS were all close and many could have went either way. Meaning, a judge having it lopsided for Charlo is not a surprise. That judge just found that Charlos cleaner punching was more efficient than Vanes intermittent pressure fighting. Just because the rounds were close it doesn't mean they have to be split down the middle. That's not how boxing scoring works. The judges all for one reason or another that Charlo won more of the close rounds so he got the nod, albeit by different margins.

As far as Charlo goes, he looked meh tonight. Andrade managed to look good against Vanes and dominated him. Vharlo and Vanes are both good fighters but are just a tad bit shy of the creme de la creme. Both still have a bit to prove before I can consider them top tier.

Never been impressed with the Charlo twins and I don't think I'll ever be. Just too basic for my liking, it's hard to explain but it's like they try to fight too neat.

I know exactly what you mean. There is something missing but it's hard to point out exactly what it is.

IDK what it is. I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that they train with Lara. I think Lara is rubbing off on Jermell, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I get a similar feeling when I watch them. I haven't watched enough of Jermall because he hasn't fought anyone of note, he's really being brought up slow.

Can we get Andrade vs. Charlo now?

Eh it's like the Glazkov-Cunningham fight, decision arguable but neither guy looked like it will matter much in the long run.

That fight was a draw. Neither one deserved a win tonight, but Vanes did make the fight.

                  Fight ******

This fight was boring. Vanes wanted to fight, but the charlo dude was just running. Haymon Mafia all over that decision.

The most difficult proposal is to remove round-by-round judging and score only knockdowns acknowledged by the referee. The three judges can review a questionable call after the round ends through instant replay, viewable concurrently by those watching the fight at the venue and on TV.

Scoring becomes far less subjective; bribing judges, not worth the cost to promoters and managers.

The rule change will hurt runners with their pitty patty styles. It will compel them to engage more and commit to their punches. If they want wins on their resume and avoid a high number of draws (which signals a lack of entertainment value), they need to adapt to the professional sport by dropping their opponents at least once in a fight.
