LOL why do people have such a loathing for Vargas? I've never been able to figure out what he did to get on peoples bad side

yeah he's not someone I'd be inviting my buddies over for but he's a solid pro. He's probably more well rounded than Porter. A boxer who can be a grinder too. He's throws some excellent combinations, creative ones...as a lead and as a counter. nice jab too...just lacks that game changing power and gets tired as his workrate is pretty consistent. Anyway this fight probably never happens but both guys bring some craft, not a bad fight

To many close rounds to call his fights gift decisions. He uses activity to steal rounds. A lot of Mexicans use this tactic. Canelo vs Lara for example. Mares has also done this before against better skilled fighters. It's not a dirty tactic. It takes great conditioning and a good chin because you will get tagged clean several times. Vargas would lose to the special one though.
