    WBA "regular" super lightweight champion Jessie Vargas (26-0) will be an interested observer of Saturday night's showdown between IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook and Jo Jo Dan. The fight will be aired in the United States on Showtime and replayed before a doubleheader that will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada that will be headlined by Jhonny Gonzalez versus Gary Russell.

    Vargas has fought at both super lightweight and welterweight throughout his six and a half year career. He has successfully defended his title twice and said that he is interested in moving back up to welterweight for the right fight.

      He might not have one punch Ko power, but Jessie Vargas does have an exciting fighting style. Vargas vs. Brook wouldn't be a bad fight. I would much rather see brook vs. Khan or Thurman though, with the winner facing the winner of mayweather pacquiao to determine the undisputed champion.

                              To many close rounds to call his fights gift decisions. He uses activity to steal rounds. A lot of Mexicans use this tactic. Canelo vs Lara for example. Mares has also done this before against better skilled fighters. It's not a dirty tactic. It takes great conditioning and a good chin because you will get tagged clean several times. Vargas would lose to the special one though.
