I like Rios in this fight. Hatton doesn't have the boxing skills to out box Rios and has a questionable chin.

    Horrible matchup for Hatton.

I would have to go with Rios. Although they had a common opponent in Pacquiao, you would have to say that each fighter fought a different version of him. Hatton fought Pacquiao when he was at his peak and hungry to destroy all his opponents. Rios fought Pacquiao in his first fight after his vicious knockout loss to Marquez. Hatton was knocked out while Rios suffered a boxing clinic. In any event, Rios at this point could probably defeat Hatton. He has a trainer in Robert Garcia who is teaching him more and polishing his boxing skills to go along with his rugged style. That, I believe, would help him in a brawler like Hatton. Example is how Floyd Mayweather, Sr. tried to impart boxing skills in his lead-up to the Pacquiao fight. But it became pretty evident that in the first round, Hatton threw that out the window and simply tried to overpower Pacquiao, which backfired tremendously. I would take Rios based on his superior boxing skills to avoid Hatton's shots and land counters.

Hatton would give up in the twelve round and be carried out the ring in a stretcher with broken hands. Rios would tear Hatton gloves to shreds with his superior face to fist technique. Career ending fight for Hatton he wouldn't be able to ever use his fist again. Just trolling, but seriously Hatton would win Rios would be frustrated on the inside.

Rios isn't hard to tie up, we've learned this time and time again. I'm a fan of Rios too but he'd lose. Rios has to be a lot faster to deal with Hatton's style, that or be a good enough counter puncher which he isn't.

            Lol is this real life

Seriously I like Bam Bam. I really do. But he's not beating or even coming close to beating a prime Ricky Hatton.

Similar to the Urango fight, Rios might have a few more moments but Ricky was a better dude than most think and at 140 Rios doesn't really pop as good as he did at 135.

Hattons chin was pretty solid before it cracked against Floyd. Rios can fight on the inside but can't defend on the inside, Hatton can do both and Rios doesn't know how to react when he is grabbed.

Rios superior boxing skills? Did I read that right? I don't think Rios has even heard of a jab or head movement.

Hatton wasn't a great boxer but he was a damn sight better than Brandon bloody Rios.

It would be fun to watch but Hatton is just flat out a better fighter and he is better at doing what Rios does best...pressure and body punching

Add in the foot speed and hand speed, he is probably stronger, has better boxing skills.

Hatton would be too much for Rios who would get smothered and outworked
