Sergio Martinez claimed he was a diva and that he'd given in to all of Cotto's demands, yet Cotto still wouldn't sign.

Then we have both DLH and Canelo who claim the same thing from Cotto.

So yeah, I would think this history qualifies Cotto as being one of the biggest Diva's in boxing today.
Do you know why he parted from each trainer?

    You're crying about plasterito? Pathetic.

Martinez got what he wanted yes or no?

HBO is going to make it happen.

Even if I think Cotto is a diva I will still give him credit.

We don't have to hear about Aside bullshit, Floyd is next..He's scared, NO he's scared. The fight is going to get done, Cotto has no choice but to sign.

I'm just happy the fight is getting done, HBO flexing nuts.

He's having a very public fight with Top Rank with lots of accusations flying, with both sides calling each other liars. Does it make Cotto a diva that he walked away from a verbal contract?

It's business and Top Rank should have known better, but it does make him out to be a liar and hypocrite.

He can do as he pleases but people can also point out he's full of shit.
Why did he part with those trainers? What there's a rule now that you can't switch trainers?

Public fight? Who was talking to the media in the 1st place?

That would be then two fights on may 2nd... Floyd vs ??? & cotto-canelo

You explain to me how they wouldn't be competing for ppv buys if this scenario happened.
No doubt the strategy was to take the May 2nd date and thats why they wanted to announce it early. Do you think Showtime would have put on Floyd vs Khan or Floyd vs Danny Garcia if Canelo/Cotto had already been announced on that date? I don't think so after two straight flops with Maidana. That was the strategy, to announce it early to take the date from Floyd vs anyone but Pacquaio. Cotto's ***** ass wouldn't sign and now he has no options but to fight Canelo as HBO is holding his feet to the fire.

PBC definitely putting pressure on HBO, if they start poaching fights in the future it's going to get interesting.

It's too bad Cotto signed with Jayz because I think even a tune up on CBS or NBC would do monster ratings. I'm talking north of 6 million. Only Cotto/Canelo/Floyd/May could do that.

PBC would have probably paid Cotto a good 3 million for that tune up, I mean that mandatory is only getting peanuts anyways.

Really? You have an official statement from Haymon stating this? Video maybe? ANYTHING direct from Haymon?

I couldn't give two *****s about Margarito. Glad he got what he deserved to be honest.
But there is no denying the fight was in jeopardy of not happening because of Cotto's diva like demands. Same with Martinez.

You asked for the history of Cotto being difficult to work with and negotiate with, I just gave it to you. Multiple trainers and 3 documented cases of diva like negotiations.

Once again they both need each other, your lame attempts at trolling are showing more and more.
                    DUDE!!!

If they turned K9 you really think they are going to accept some guy nobody heard of? They also turned down Delvin Rodriguez last time remember?

And no I don't see Jayz working with Haymon. He had his fighters turn down huge paydays just because that history. And when did Haymon say that?

Yep I agree that would have been great but I guess roc threw more money at him as long as Cotto fight Canelo im happy that fight makes too much sense not to make.
