Khan is NOT Hatton who ducked his domestic rival Witter like the plague. You can slate him when he announces his next opponent.

Man, why does everyone assume a big pay fight =immediate rematch is going to happen?

If the fight turns into a dud or borefest which is highly possible with any Mayweather fight, NOBODY will want to pay for a rematch or no where near the amount this first bout is going to generate.

It's all about money and sense. If the 2nd fight don't make money, it don't make sense and at the same time, if the bout don't make sense(because nobody will see it), it don't make money.

If Khan thinks that then he needs to stop stalking Mayweather. He needs to carve out his own legacy and walk his own path now. If a Mayweather fight happens then good but he's been waiting around long enough without really deserving it anyway. If he's good enough to be in with Floyd, then he should beat a couple of the top WW's to prove it and have people demanding the fight. He hasn't defeated a top WW yet, end of.

So Khan, for now just consider a Mayweather fight out of the window and fight Kell Brook. You will earn more money, if you win you become a WW champ and beat a very good WW....

The fact is, Khan or his advisors would rather try and get a Mayweather fight than Brook. If Khan loses to Floyd, no big deal, everyone does. The Brook fight would still be available. If Khan loses to Brook, that'd be his last very big fight and payday i think. So if you go the Mayweather route, you might get 2 big paydays, go the Brook route and you might only get 1 should you lose. It's business when it comes down to it.

I doubt there would be a rematch considering intangibles to put the first fight together.

Do you think Pacman would fight for 30% if he loses?
Do you think Mayweather would fight for 50/50 if he loses?


Arum still owes Macau one more Manny fight in September.

I just hope they're forced to a rematch as opposed to Pacman vs Vargas in Macau and Mayweather vs Cotto.
