Comments Thread For: Nonito Donaire: I Know Exactly What is at Stake

Quezon City, Philippines - "Fans are going to find out where I am at on Saturday night," Nonito 'Filipino Flash' Donaire said at a press conference this week in Cebu. He is taking on William Prado of Brazil for the vacant NABF Super Bantamweight Championship at the historic Araneta Coliseum on Saturday night. The event is called Pinoy Pride 30 - D Day.

Donaire, a five-division world champion, has trained for weeks in the Philippines. After his last bout - a loss to hard-punching featherweight Nicholas Walters, Donaire made a decision to return to the 122 pound weight division. He was in that division when he won the 2012 Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA) Fighter of the Year Award.

Great call. I like the guy, he didn't duck Rigo and took his spanking. Same with Walters. And he can still be relevant and make great fights. But like someone else said, if he can't make 126 he f***ed, let alone 122.

Dude, hes fighting at 122, why wouldn't he be able to make 126? Why are you even bringing up 126 when he has to make 122? Anyways donaire can fight his way back.to the top, shouldn't be too difficult at 122. The division is not as stacked as featherweight

Stop writing about this exposed hype-job, nobody cares.
Stop trying to resurrect this guy, he was no good from the start.
