I just feel that they missed a big opportunity to make this fight a Mega Event. Stage it somewhere exotic where 10's of thousands of fans can attend live. Follow in the footsteps of "rumble in the Jungle" or "Thrilla in Manila". Watching fights at the MGM whether live or on TV has become stale and boring.

This is not surprising news. This is the biggest fight in history and the promoters and MGM want to make sure that other hotels don't get to unfairly profit off of the fight. All the Vegas hotels will likely be full that weekend, so the hotels will get some benefit from it.

This is ******. Charge the other hotels out the ass to air the fight, but don't take it away completely. Floyd vs. Canelo was aired everywhere, and everywhere was packed. There's going to be thousands of people trying to fit into the same freaking places.

I was planning to watch at an MGM property anyway, but there's going to be standing room only if you don't arrive 4 hours early.

I understand what you are saying. However, the way they are doing it is the way in which they can make the most money off this fight. Building a temporary stadium or staging it somewhere else would cut into the profits and all that matters to the parties involved, Mayweather and Pacquaio, is to make as much money as possible.

See how a Floyd fan justify this madness! he does not care if the real boxing fans who's fighting tooth and nails at every boxing forum can not have the satisfaction of watching the fight they have been waiting for for 5 long years.

his reason, make the most money off this fight. all that matters to the parties involved, Mayweather and Pacquaio, is to make as much money as possible. Even have the nerve to add Paquiao name on it for added credibility.

Pacquiao wants it for the fans. so don't use pac name and attach it on Floyds greed to justify your "expletives" "expletives" "expletives" "expletives" agenda.

                You heartless Floyd fan you.

and here is another one, as if MGM is the one who made the contract that the fight should be there.

hate is not a proper word abhor would be more like it.

The greed of the man knows no bound. he never even tried to reciprocate for the fans who made him what he is now.
