Oscar lost that fight because he abandoned his jab later in the fight. Manny is going to have to stay busy and throw and land more than Floyd in this fight. Floyd gonna have to take advantage of his reach and use that counter right hand that still haunts pa man to this day. They couldn't stop it from Marquez and they sure as hell are going to have a hard time against Floyd.
Can't believe people still actually believe this BS!!!
Im more interested in how and IF Floyd adjusts to Mannys style.. Is Floyd able to whether the Pacman storm and if so how?
I think its more about who gets the fight at the distance that is best for them.
Both are good at getting the fight to go according to the distance that allows them do what they do best.
Manny won't even be able to release a storm if Floyd is controlling the distance cause that will make Manny hesitate and think to much cause he getting hit coming in and worked when they are on inside.
If Manny is closing the distance to fast and getting in mid-range before Floyd can catch him coming in Floyd is going to have problems. Especially if Manny can also step over after releasing the first combo once he is mid-range then release another from an angle after the first combo.
Garbage!! Roach never had a strategy other than to copy what Castillo did. All Castillo did was hold Mayweather in place with the hand the referee can't see and used the other hand to hit him. In the Floyd vs Hoya fight, that was what Oscar did as well. The jab is just the way Oscar normally fights. I really do think Roach is vastly overrated as a trainer.

Distance is the most overlooked factor in this fight

Not true but it would be awful that Castillo would have to do secretly what Floyd did(hug) 100 times in the open in that fight. If hugging/holding/etc is going to be allowed to avoid a fight it should be allowed to make a fight. Imagine what Castillo coulda done if he coulda used both hands to hold that wimp in place? Anyways, Castillo had his hand on Floyd's side because Floyd was trapping Castillo's hands between his elbows and the side of his body. He does that to real fighters who are stronger than him to avoid a fight.
