Comments Thread For: Hearn: DeGale-Dirrell Will Land in Mid To Late May

Olympic gold medal winner James DeGale (20-1, 14KOs) will get a solid return date shortly, according to his promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport. DeGale is waiting for a finalized date for his ordered fight with Andre Dirrell (24-1, 16KOs).

The two boxers will fight for the vacant IBF super middleweight title, which Carl Froch vacated earlier this year. The match went to a purse bid, which was won by Warriors Boxing on behalf of Al Haymon, who is Dirrell's manager.

Leo Santa Cruz said he's back in May also. Could they fight on the same card?

DeGale/Dirrell is an east coast match and Leo is most likely West Coast or Texas.

      Khan is fighting May 23rd.

      There's a PBC on Sp1ke card May 29 Friday.

I wish DeGale got a chance to fight Froch.
