I will happy with this opponent if it gets made. I want to see Cotto against a legit middleweight, and see how Cotto hangs with a bigger younger guy at 160. I'd prefer this before attempt against ggg.(if he fights him). Another Argentine what a coincidence

Some standard. 'As long as the opponent is a 160 lb'er it's ok'.

          Those Cotto-stans is something else.

Hey now, I am a fan of Cotto but I never over ride any fighter. I am just saying i watched and just rewatched Heiland against Macklin, and I think he would be a competitive defense against Cotto. Believe me I am upset its not Canelo or GGG but I do not think this is a bad fight. With the options Cotto left himself with, its better than a 147 Bradley or old K9 imo.

Cotto is toying with his legacy... GGG or bust! *** i am bout to send word through my people in Caguas to send word to this mutha***er on how its becoming increasingly difficult to condone his matchmaking decisions... totally agree with putting cinnamon in his rightful place at the back of the line and waiting on Money but truth be told this shiet is getting out of hand....

He gets a voluntary defense, he's using it against a MW. What exactly is the problem?

Heiland at 160 would be a very dangerous fight for Cotto, that's why I have my doubts it happens. I would favor him over Miguel if it happens. His break thru fight was his 12 round TKO over Godoy.

Yeah man, if he goes with Heiland, I think it's a good scrap for Cotto considering he just got to MW.

Lets be honest both of these are bad fights. You got K9 who is clearly the better of the two fighters but he's like 45 years old and too small to take serious as a defense of the 160 belt. Then you have this stiff Heiland who isn't on anybody's top 10 ranking but is at least a real middleweight. It's just sad it's come to this for Cotto where we got people debating on the lesser of two evils. Cotto has made a complete mockery of the title. He should save face and just vacate the belt and move down and nobody will care what bums he fights. It's clear he is all about cashing out and taking safe fights.
