WTF are you talking about titface?

Eddie Hearn gave him better paydays than Warren ever did.

        Something went very wrong somewhere.

He got a reported £500k for the Crawford fight. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/...4960n.22898311

          Thanks, fixed

I would bet that a number of " homeless " people, have a net worth that is higher than Ricky Burns.

          228 pounds.

Strange that very few posters have even commented on that.

I don't understand why he would try to break away from Frank Warren if he had no money to pay for a legal battle when he knew he would be sued by Warren.

He confirms my long-held belief that professional boxers are the dumbest professional athletes in the world.

Haymon is not both. He is using various promoters such as Lou DiBella and Warriors Boxing as part of the PBC.

Well yes, he does have to shoulder some responsibility, he listened to some misinformed advice and allowed others to handle his affairs and has ended up paying heavily.

However Frank Warren wasn't paying him properly or in line with British Boxing Board of Control regulations. Warren owed Burns 150k and then liquidated the company resulting in Burns never getting that money.

Surely you'd agree Burns had every right to walk away from Frank to an employer who would actually pay Ricky?

At worst he doesn't deserve what's happened as his intention were never undue. The people around him have fûcked him over.

You've posted some good comments through this but saying the people around him have ****ed him over is a simplification.
Many cases go to litigation and often neither side knows the outcome until it's decided in court. My wife is a contract lawyer and I'm not claiming no one is ever intentionally misinformed but the reality is that's such a short sighted business plan that no one would take those risks.
The total assets value suggests maybe there has been some forward thinking.
I for one hope so as Burns seems to be a nice guy who has always been honest about his limitations and his determination has got him where he was.
