The icing on the cake was when the commentators said that GRJ indicated he was weight drained against Loma. Yea, sure you were Gary.
You missed out then.. he was pitty pat punching for the second half of the fight(adding some moaning effects) and the no hoper managed to trap him in the corner and went to work a few times. Meanwhile GR Jr was trying to set up his flashy combinations but they were absolutely nothing but slight taps lmao. Ridiculous to say the least, how the hell does he get trapped by a D level fighter???? and this is supposed to be the guy who will "outbox" Gonzalez...

Maybe I'll watch another 3 rounds tomorrow.

Anyway, I can't see GRJ doing well against top competition. Perhaps he can make a decent career looking flashy against TBAs and Taco Bell drive thru cashiers.

The guy only has one side to his game, speed. Remove that and he has nothing else. How exactly would he outbox a more lengthy, more technical and much more powerful boxer in Jhonny? I hope Rex's jaw holds up, his only hope is to cut the distance and unload then pivot out, but I can't see him doing that without eating a few bombs here and there.

If Russel Jr wins I'll eat my crow with pride, but I'm confident in Jhonny's abilities and experience.

People seem to think Russell is the boxer in this matchup. Not only is Jhonny the puncher but he's by far the better boxer. He's also at a physical advantage. Other than Russell's speed ,and Jhonny's fragile chin giving out, T-Rex has no shot in this fight.

Lomachenko took his soul, Gonzalez will take his heart.

Exactly bro, exactly. People think Russel's handspeed is enough to secure the victory or that his boxing ability will negate the reach disparity but I don't see it, at all.

Perhaps if Russel had some serious power but that power has been non existent for some time now. I seriously doubt the power against cans translates to anything significant against world class fighters.

Russel also needs stationary foes in order to look flashy and utilize his speed, or else he looks lost and throws for the sake of throwing. Like I said, I can be wrong but if Russel manages to beat Jhonny I'll happily accept my incorrect prediction.

Russel looks good at mid range but with those arms I doubt he'll be able to fight effectively, especially with Jhonny's bombs constantly being thrown at him from afar.

He a slick southpaw doe. But people forget that Jhonny was winning most of the fights he lost in and only succumbed because of his paper thin chin. Oh well, Jhonny via KO and I'm sticking to it.

Russell Jr's speed is very overrated.
