I actually think Golovkin and team would pull out of the fight with Monroe for a shot at Cotto in June, it would only be a couple of weeks past his May date and would be a huge fight.
GGG could do the Monroe fight and still take the Cotto fight a few weeks later with no problem and KO both of them one after the other.

Which shows that GGG should just move up already, seriously. I get that he wants to become lineal champion, it doesn't mean that much when the division is filled with a bunch of no-hopers and a way too small HoF. He'd get a fight with someone at SMW if he fought one and looked vulnerable. Really, his handlers have just hit a wall and the Mike Tyson way of promoting him is starting to get him some backlash as it should.

As long as GGG makes weight comfortably with little to no effort, as he continues to do, there is no reason for him to move up. Why should he fight at 168 where he would enter the ring around 172 or so to fight against opponents who enter the ring well over 180? It is not his fault that the best in the division are busy with their own fights right now. It is no different at SMW, as all the best are busy at the moment and even Ward is not available until well into 2016.
At middleweight, GGG has a chance to unify all the titles, something that only Hopkins has done, which will put him into the record books. After that, he can move up if he wishes to. IN the meantime, how about Canelo fans go on his twitter feed and challenge him to fight GGG seeing as how Canelo fights at around 175 ring weight. How about fans of other fighters ask their faves why they keep ducking and avoiding GGG? Put the pressure on the other guys for a change instead of complaining about the top guy in the division who is willing to fight anyone in his division!
