I'm referring to the demands, of course.
I specifically asked who made the demands first, not if they made demands at all.You asked who started the demands first...I said they both did in negotiations! That's not clear enough.
What I'm saying is, both Mayweather and Pacquiao were equally big stars at that time so why was this "A/B side" even brought up back then? Manny is a proven PPV star like Floyd so when Mayweather tried coming up with all these ridiculous demands, then yeah, it's no surprise why it's seen as a way to duck a fight. But you're willing to stick with Floyd on everything, right? lolWhat does that have to do with anything? You didn't say anything about a certain fight, you said;
So now I am using that logic against you. Whether you like it or not, the A side is the A side. It has been that way since boxing began and boxers used that fact as leverage it to dictate terms. Only when Floyd uses that fact to his advantage is it a terrible thing used to try to duck a fight. What does the fact that money was the only thing holding up the Hatton fight change anything? Wasn't Pac trying to show he was the A-side. The same thing you said that should never come up if he wanted the fight that bad? Oh that's right, that statement ONLY applies when it comes to FMJ vs. Pac. LOL!
Besides, Floyd flat out said he's the A-side, when did Pacquiao say that regarding the Hatton fight? I don't recall him saying that.
Or maybe the fight would've taken place years ago if Floyd hadn't demanded it in the first place.
I really didn't get the first part but yeah, the fight is on. I just wish people quit focusing on the past.Last edited by Mr. Punch-Out!!; 03-24-2015, 10:19 PM.Comment

so he was forced to make $180 million PLUS 60% of everything ?? goddamn , say it aint so
put it like this, this fight sitting on the stove for five years was the best thing to happen, this fight is bigger and richer now than 2009. no promotion even necessary, fighters just focused on training.
and i also think pac is a better boxer than 09. even though i got Floyd whoopin him. five years ago i had Floyd peeling his cap back, even roach said floyd was more of a threat then.Comment

floyd feels no pressure from any fans. he suits himself, he has one consideration....money! if there is alot of money in a fight its because fans will pay for it so fans are a factor. when he says "i want the fans to choose" he means to say, bring the cash and i will fight. simple.Comment

that dontaenation interview again. i'll believe you if you admit that everything in that video is truth.roach is a character, he was on video saying they were responsible for the fight not happening in 09 now this, none of these men are scared of eachother it was all business and politicts. If pac didnt have arum on his side he would have took that test with no issues in 2009, it was arum who told himt to say all that scared of needles sht, arum wanted to make that money before making this fight. this worked in floyds favor as well.
please answer yes so i could post the many truths of that interview.
all my points to all of your points that your stance will be "not everything in that interview should be taken as facts" or something in that manner.Last edited by luisivich; 03-25-2015, 12:33 AM.Comment

I have no idea who made the demands first. Do you? If so, show proof. Either way, does it matter? There have been huge fights before, where people were similar draws which one side or the other made the first demand. It means absolutely nothing.
Floyd never mentioned "A" side in the first negotiations. He had demands just like Pacquiao did. If you really examine the numbers, they were never equaly draws...Pac was just very hot at that moment and Floyd was coming back from retirement. Floyd didn't have any "rediculous" demands, he asked for OSDT, the very same things that Pac asked of others 3 yrs later. Pac asked for 10 mil per lb drug penalty. Was that a way to duck the fight? What I'm saying is, both Mayweather and Pacquiao were equally big stars at that time so why was this "A/B side" even brought up back then? Manny is a proven PPV star like Floyd so when Mayweather tried coming up with all these ridiculous demands, then yeah, it's no surprise why it's seen as a way to duck a fight. But you're willing to stick with Floyd on everything, right? lol
Again, Floyd never mentioned anything about being the A side until much later, when he VERY CLEARLY WAS! Pac didn't mention it, but what is it when you feel you deserve more money than the other fighter? Just because he didn't say the words, you give him a psss for acting like he was?
You don't want to focus on the past, because it looks bad for Pac. If you were so concerned about not focusing on the past, you never would've been in this thread, because you are using past to come to the conclusion that Floyd was forced into this fight. The guy told the world last year that he had a friggen "surprise oppenent" for May and threatened to fire his father for revealing it.Comment

Another addition to my Fl*mo nation embarrassment bookmark folder.Little over a month remaining before Pac gets "Gatti'd" by Floyd! What a long time coming... all the low IQ Pac fans will finally be eradicated from internet forums.
Pac has NEVER been in the ring with a Master Boxer that has the pedigree, athleticism and IQ of Floyd Mayweather.
Pac gets a lot of credit for being athletic and quick but all that gets puts to rest on May 2nd.
All that lunging in and awkward crap is going to get Pac a beating he never thought possible. His naïve brain really thinks he's on Mayweather's level. I'm almost for certain he and his family will be CRYING in the ring after the fight.
Pac is getting that Gatti treatment. Roach and Arum will be humbled as well.Comment
