I agree with a tune up if you've been on a losing streak, had injuries or other outside problems that would affect boxing, but voluntarily taking a break from boxing as a lineal champ than coming back to defend the titles in a tune up is pretty shady if you ask me.

There's nothing wrong with cashing out, he's earned that. It's holding the belt hostage that's disgraceful. Just as Froch vacated one of the belts for a bigger fight, Cotto should do the same.

Its not bad enough that Cotto is holding the middle weight belt hostage, and refuses to defend it a year later, he also bailed on the canelo fight when everyone thought it was a done deal and tried to weasel himself into a mayweather fight, when mayweather had no option but pac and almost ****ed that fight up. Call it like it is, guys been a good fighter but hes a scourge on the sport these days.

I had cotto winning most of the early rounds in plasterito 1 fight. When did he start losing rounds? after round 6... oh wait thats around the time it would take for those plasters to start hardening!!! AND cotto went till the 11th round getting hit with bricks.

you are right.... its not middleweight... its canelo-weight and hes having his third fight at that prestigious weight class.
