Today: "I never was scared about my son fighting Pacquiao."
The Not So Distant Past: "I’m just saying this right here, my concern is for my son’s protection. My concern is for my son’s life, that’s why. If my son’s fighting that little man, I’m concerned about my son’s life. That’s what I’m telling you."

I've always maintained that Mayweather would beat Pacquiao at any point between when they were first supposed to fight until now. I'd dare to say that Pacquiao's best chance to beat Mayweather is now. The style he fights with now is much better suited for the fight than years ago. I don't care how fast or hard hitting Pacquiao was in 2009, the come forward style would've been eaten alive by the defensive counter punching of Mayweather. Mayweather was fresher and moved a little bit better then, as well as being tighter defensively. All the guys Pacquiao was beating while setting the world ablaze (De la Hoya, Hatton, Cotto) were guys who were never known as defensive in any way shape or form. All of which came right to him trying to match fire with fire, exactly like he wanted and paid the price. Hasn't knocked anyone out since, now that guys have fought him with more caution. Mayweather will be cautious and put defense and boxing above all else. It's gonna be real tough for Pacquiao to win, which I still believe he won't. I just hope it isn't a boring fight, which it has the potential to be.
