THIS is what I have been saying. The double standards around here are funny as hell. We don't see ANY threads calling for ANYONE other than Cotto to fight GGG.

"But he has the shiny belt doe and he should forego his voluntary defense and hit GGG up doe.."

If Rocnation pays this fool $17 million to fight K9 they might as well throw their boxing license in the trash. I could go stand on the corner of wyckoff and pay $100 to a brother and a $100 to a rican and see a better fight...ain't no way in hell they'd recoup that money even on ppv after network and taxes.

Cotto is taking the Haymon path of least resistance to ensure more bucks for his ****s. He could never beat the A List and will go out a note of B Flat.

The WBC want to have a fighting champion. It gives them more visibility and more fights earn them more in sanctioning fees. GGG fights 4 times for every 1 fight of Cotto.

Ward needs to build up the hype for a future meeting between the two by getting his ass back in the ring against a live body. Until he does so, there is no point at all in a Ward - GGG fight. If Ward doesn't fight soon, or refuses his mandatory with Froch, he will be stripped of his last remaining title and will have nothing at all to offer in a fight against GGG.

No one really cares if Cotto ever fights GGG as long as he gives up the title he is afraid to defend. Defend against a MIDDLEWEIGHT or vacate the title. Cotto's choice. Not a difficult one to make. And if he decides not to fight a MW in his voluntary, he should vacate or be stripped on the spot.

GGG wants to know if Cotto is going to fight. If Cotto is not going to fight then GGG gets the belt and he can move on. If Cotto is going to fight then GGG will have the belt and move on. Either way I don't blame GGG for pushing Cotto because that is the only belt GGG does not have in the middle weight division.

It's pretty clear that Cotto's people are not going to let him fight anyone who they don't stand a high probability of beating. That would stop their gravy train. The only thing that GGG's people can do is to keep putting the pressure on or hope that Cotto is stripped of the title as he should be if he does not comply with the stated rules.
