The fight in no way warranted a rematch. Pac man whooped Cotto and would have just done it again.

Just finished treat hung the fight, I had thought manny stopped him in the 8, it was the 12... Manny had cotto running from the 6 round, he was done and was circling away, running to back pedal... Manny looked his best in that fight tbh.

ehhh because Cotto lost in horrible fashion. Cotto has the luxury to say it was all because of the 146 pound catch weight if he wants so taking that route seems more logical with moving on with his career. Don't really see a scenario where Cotto would want to fight the smaller Pacquiao again knowing he could get beat even worst.

Cotto refused to fight Pacquaio at a catchweight for a second time. Pac wanted to fight Cotto at 150. Cotto refused to fight him unless it was at 154. Fighting at 154 after he had stopped using PEDS was not something Pac was going to do.


At the time the fight was offered to him, I don't think Cotto was signed with Bob Arum, so Arum couldn't tell him who to fight or at what weight as he does with all his other fighters.

Actually, Pacquiao wanted Cotto to come down below 150lbs and said he will never fight that high again. Cotto responded with, I won't give you that advantage again.
