Cotto moved up in weight after the beat down. Pac didn't want go back to 154 after the margarito fight.
And besides cotto never seemed to have wanted revenge against pac. It wasn't pac's job to chase a rematch on a guy he just destroyed.

The fight in no way warranted a rematch. Pac man whooped Cotto and would have just done it again.
The only fights I want to see Cotto in now are either against GGG or Canelo. But he doesn't want another beat down.

the size and strength difference
marg kept coming, cotto quit after 2nd kd.
pac moved, he boxed, he slugged, he danced center ring, fought off the ropes, hurt marg with a body punch, broke marg face.
showed entire arsenal.
plus that fight counted as two wins.
the pac win and cotto win over marg.

ehhh because Cotto lost in horrible fashion. Cotto has the luxury to say it was all because of the 146 pound catch weight if he wants so taking that route seems more logical with moving on with his career. Don't really see a scenario where Cotto would want to fight the smaller Pacquiao again knowing he could get beat even worst.

arum ran out of TR guys for pac.
that's why he signed mosley and jmm away from gbp.
arum used every 147 fighter he had for pac and gbp had the rest.

At the time the fight was offered to him, I don't think Cotto was signed with Bob Arum, so Arum couldn't tell him who to fight or at what weight as he does with all his other fighters.
