Cotto refused to fight Pacquaio at a catchweight for a second time. Pac wanted to fight Cotto at 150. Cotto refused to fight him unless it was at 154. Fighting at 154 after he had stopped using PEDS was not something Pac was going to do.


At the time the fight was offered to him, I don't think Cotto was signed with Bob Arum, so Arum couldn't tell him who to fight or at what weight as he does with all his other fighters.

Cotto took two of the worst beatings I've ever seen, at a high level, within a short period of time. I'm talking worse than vargas vs tito, Oscar beatings. If you'd seen his career from the start you'd know it was just a matter of time, he had been hurt on several occasions by much lesser fighters. You knew hed be destroyed when he fought a killer.

Just finished rewatching the fight, I had thought manny stopped him in the 8, it was the 12... Manny had cotto running from the 6 round, he was done and was circling away, running to back pedal... Manny looked his best in that fight tbh.
