I was having a debate with someone on Twitter, he said it wasn't and never will be and I said although it shouldn't be, it is and you should use it to your advantage e.g Lomachenko vs Salido and Garcia Matthysse where they go away with murder but the ref didn't see it.

Is fighting dirty part of the game?

It's part of the game but a dirty fighter should be ready to lose points for his indiscretions and any decent referee should be ready and willing to remove points for a fighter who breaks the rules. All referees should have their performance rated and judged after every fight and in cases where preferential treatment is seen, the referee should be fined half of his payment received for that fight and not permitted to referee any fight with the same fighter for 5 years.

It shouldn't, it really shouldn't and I have a hard time thinking that the ref doesn't see it all the time, but it happens, just be dirty back

At this point it should be understood and fighters should be learning how to be sneaky with it. My issue is when it's excessive and one isn't putting much of an effort to hide it.

Not ideally, but if you're in a prizefight for hundreds of thousands then by all means do what you can if you can get away with it.
Just expect fans to criticize you hard and hope we never implement slow motion cameras for fouling.

I do think dirty boxing is a skill because it requires instincts and subtlety. I just think of it as another style of boxing. Because at this point, there is no denying that dirty boxing is part of boxing. Although Maidana is a dirty boxer, I never thought of him as a good one. He's not sneaky with it and he shows the world including the ref that he is being dirty.

Part of every sport is the ability to push the rules and laws as far as you can and get an advantage from it. Look at soccer and shirt holding In the box, there are 3-4 penalties there every corner but it's just never given so why not do it ?
The trouble in boxing is that certain fighters and certain rules are never enforced while other times they are strict with it.
