These guys only say these things after years have passed and all these guys retired. They were just as relevant in the heavyweight ranks as Fury/Wilder (two noobs relatively speaking) are today.

wouldn't hold it against him too much if he were to retire after the Jennings fight considering his age but if he were to fight a soft touch instead of wilder/fury Id be very pissed off. he either needs to retire or fight those 2 before hanging it up. no reason to fight the glazkovs of the world when there's 2 much better fighters willing to get it on

Wlad has not given any indication whatsoever that he is to retire any time soon. Not even the okie doke "2 more fights and I'll retire" that Floyd and Pacquiao and others sometimes throw around. So it's a moot point.

Me thinks that Wlad will stick around for another 4 years if he keeps winning, joining Hopkins in the successful 40 and up club of elite fighters.
