        The more and more I hear Roach talk, the less and less confidence I have in Pacquiao. All this bs coming out of his mouth lately is just too much. His whole gameplan is based on hopeful thinking that Pacquiao doesn't get caught by Mayweathers "favorite punch."

However Bradley both times made him slow down and think about what he was doing by using footwork. Manny knew he couldn't throw 7 punch combos against him so he had to actually out box him, but obviously have a slow paced thinking match doesn't play to Pac's strengths.
          Exactly what Manny did against Bradley. He couldn't overwhelm him with just straight up brawling 'cause he misses so much, so what did Manny do? Like you said Manny slowed down, think what will be his next move and timed Tim whenever he do his hercky jerky moves. He boxed Tim beautifully and when he hurt him, he threw those 11 punch combos.

          He was thinking then and won right? So that means Manny is capable of thinking and adjusting.

            Exactly. Over-thinking means you slow down a lot, thinking is attacking with caution 'cause you're thinking what will be your opponents reactions while your attacking him.

              I get what you're aiming at; but I see that more as instincts.

              Manny has the speed to take full advantage of his instincts. Which as I mentioned before, is what got him to this point.

              A fighter actively thinking in the ring would be someone trying to lay traps for example - like a Mayweather.
              __

              This is part of the reason why I feel this style match-up is worse for Manny than it is for Floyd. When Pacquiao faced good "thinkers" (counter-punchers'), those seem to be his hardest fights.

              On the other hand, Manny is a good aggressive, active fighter which Floyd tends to not look his best against. Plus on top of that Manny has speed.

                let ref break it up.

                if he does that, he can cruise to a dec.
                That's exactly how it is playing in my head. He will not let Manny get into his rhythm. He have that cunning ability to snap his one-two and then clinch. I hope the ref, whoever it might be won't let that happen. I mean warn him for excessive clinching and deduct a point if he continue to do so, so that it'll make Floyd change his tactic. But I highly doubt that he will get a point deducted by doing that tactic

                      I understand the need to pressure and throw volume, but besides the Rios fight Manny hasnt eclipsed 800 punches since Bradley 1. Hes only throwing around 500-600 especially against guys like Marquez, even Bradley 2 and to sum extent Algieri.

                      Bradley and Marquez wanted to engage, Floyd doesnt, Manny will be thinking a lot more vs Floyd than any other opponent. Because Floyd is so good and is a better thinker than most fighters hes faced this already puts Mqnny behind the curve.

                      knowing a guy is smarter makes you think and 2nd guess yourself more.

                      Besides Manny is horrible at cutting off the ring, Marquez was able to keep the majority of their rounds center ring, and damn if Algieri didnt circle left the ENTIRE FIGHT, wack lol and funny at the same time.
