Enough to reassure people that Pacquiao is clean. That is your assertion for the $5 million fine being suggested, right? Is enough to do what?
Did Ellerbe release this to the press? I have no idea. There's some Ellerbe quotes throughout this thread in bold letters that are obviously making reference to drug cheating without straight up saying it. For all I know, these quotes were made up by overzealous fans and I fell for it.
The opening article made it seem like Koncz released the offer to the press, especially Ellerbe and Mayweather's refusal (knowing some would spin it like some here have). Ellerbe responded stating that a severe enough punishment was already in place, and agreed by both parties.
Is this not what happened?Comment

I hope they're both juiced to the gills for this fight.Comment

i see a bunch of idiots talking about what they dont understand. Koncz was wrong ellerbe was right. even arum said so, which says a lot. if there were to be a penaalty ofr breach of contract on failing the drug test, the 5mil would serve to limit the liability of the party that tested positive. there really is no reason for such a low penalty for such a huge business venture. the party that does fail the test will be on the hook for hundreds of millions regardless.Comment

I'm not a lawyer -- don't take my word as "authoritative"...
But I live in a extremely corrupt country... That is why I was forced to closely follow the judicial system (at home AND abroad)...Comment

this is what i have been waiting almost forever and now someone use the term "breach of contract" if there was no agreement that one can call off the fight if the other one fails the drug test what exactly in the contract does the one who fails the test breach?i see a bunch of idiots talking about what they dont understand.
