Comments Thread For: Ellerbe, Koncz Trade Verbal Shots Over $5 Million Fine

All this stuff was clearly explained by Arum at the press conference.
He clearly stated that Team Mayweather refused because they could make more than $5 million and Arum liked that idea too.
Looks like nobody was watching any of the interviews at the presser. 34 pages and counting on a subject that was addressed and forgotten about 2 weeks ago.Comment

Just pathetic. So you actually believe that Pac would walk away from 50-100 mil because "he didn't know what we know now".......and not even clarifying first before doing so? This sounds logical to you? Forget the fact that no one on earth(other than Pac) wouldn't turn down blood testing for that kind of money, you also believe that he is the only one on earth that wouldn't bother to ask b4 he declined that fight? No he didn't want USADA coming in everyday and disrupting his training especially in the last 18 days.
Pacquiao agreed to be urine tested 24/7 up to the day of the fight from day one.
But taking blood disrupts his training and he can't train afterwards.
But Pacquiao knows what we know now. When USADA come and a fighter is training, they wait till after the fighter has finished before testing him.
And also that in all of Floyd's test he has only been blood tested 1 in the 18 days before the fight and that was 9 days before the fight.
I wonder if this would change in this fight.Comment

It doesn't matter if it's part of usada contract if fight is canceled because of a failed test then you will only be paid the 5mil penalty you can't then in turn try and sue for something you was paid for already that's what ellerbe is alluding to by stating can get a lot more then 5mil for positive test and also what arum was referring to in presserDont you guys dont understand is that in the ESPN article today kontz was saying that he wanted this 5 mill stipulation as part of the usada contract, because they couldn't get it in the fighters contract. Why would Floyd turn that down? That has no bearing whatsoever on the fighter contract which would also be violated but right now its not included in the co tract so why wont Floyd agree to have it thrown in with the usada contract. That way Floyd could still sue because its not stipulated in the fighters contract. This would be something totally separate kontz was saying, this article doesn't tell the whole story. Ellerbe was giving the run around big timeComment

YEAH DICKHEAD thanks for repeating what I been saying the whole 2 hours! Thank me for giving you enlightenment and stop acting like a ****** teenager, trying to talk back to their parent with the knowledge given to them by said parent.Nah bruh... he didnt get it and neither did you... at least in his last Paragraph... its not about it being a PR stunt or REPLACING the 4 year ban with the $5Mil fine. Its the fact that "IN THE LANGUAGE" or the way Koncz wanted it stipulated in the contract, it would have prevented them from further litigation and limit the amount they get sued for to ONLY $5Mil as opposed to the FULL monetary value of the fight, which is upwards of $200mil.
Does everyone get it? Its common sense, thats how the Law works. When there is a fine associated with a Breach of Contract, you cant sue on top of what the said amount was. Some people have a hard time understanding or they're from a country who's laws dont honor written contacts... like say, North Korea or communist Cuba.
Either way Pactards(not regular understanding Pac fans) take the L for the day!Comment

Actually, back in 2009, Floyd and probably you too, kept repeating, "who rejects a $25 million dollar drug test?"Just pathetic.
That was the talking point back then. That and "Take the test"
It's now 2015. Fight is worth $300 million and it's actually happening. I don't understand why grown men argue about this he said/she said nonsense that is no longer relevant.Comment
