These guys are professionals and future HOFers. There are 104 reasons they know what they're doing. When it comes down to it, they are who they are and will fight their normal fights. It's just a matter of who fights their fight better.

I am picking Mayweather to control Pacman's wild speed and reckless juking in and out with punches. Manny will fight brave, but get frustrated as usual and Mayweather will lull him into a slow paced fight for the W.

You rep bar will soon turn red with the blood of wild marsupials.

Yea the jab to the body

Used it beautifully late on vs Oscar to set up the right upstairs

Made a thread about jab to the body in training forum:

But I think he's talking about the counter right

The right hook followed by the straight left, will be valuable weapons for Pacquiao. His speed will also be an important factor.

What Maidana couldn't do, Manny can do. What Maidana could do, Manny can do 10x faster. lol
pacquiao doesn't have the jab necessary to do what maidana did.. he cant cut the ring like chino, he doesn't have the strength or size to bully him..yes chino is slow, but he makes up for it in other ways, he can also fight on the inside, and pacquiao can't.

It amazes me how many guys on the forum are oblivious to the fact the jab to the body doesn't work well against the opposite stance. The angles are all wrong, the gab between the elbows is narrowed (as the punch comes from outside the lead elbow instead of straight up the middle against the same stance), the abdomen is angled away from the punch, and the counter over the top (lead hand) or up the middle (back hand) is far easier. Indeed, it is how Judah dropped Mayweather and subsequently Floyd abandoned the punch in that fight and generally hasn't used it vs southpaws anyway.

Roach is trying to gain some mental advantage. Maybe it works. Maybe not. But he is trying to secure some advantage that he is more accustomed to getting through Pac's usually dominant negotiating position.

Or does that not make any sense?

And you do realise the point highlights the fact Pacquiao didn't take jack away from an opponent who hit him with his favourite punch over and over. Just saying.....

Idk...whenever floyd shot his lead left to the mid-section, maidana would pump his jab and floyd was reluctant to shoot that straight right. I dont think Pacs gonna get away with throwing a 7 punch combo in this fight i see pac using head movement leads and feints to get floyd to counter and capitalize on that.
