"It's bittersweet because 'Friday Night Fights' has been an integral part of boxing for 17 years at ESPN, but this opportunity to bring bigger and better fights to the network has been a long time coming," said ESPN's Brian Kweder, an ESPN senior director of programming and acquisitions, who is responsible for boxing at the network.

anybody hating on this isn't a boxing fan. any form of expansion should be celebrated, no matter how you feel towards haymon.

Part of the deal is that the fighters will be covered on ESPN and SportsCenter. That is ****ing huge! Al Haymon is a genius. Such a great time to be a boxing fan.

For the most part I like this. I like the increased reach. I like the cross network platform. I love the SportCenter and regular ESPN coverage. I am sad to see FNF go away. I think that was a great platform and I am unsure if the PBC events will really replace this. I would have preferred this deal to go into place but have FNF stay in place, even if in a reduced schedule format.

Still, I shouldn't complain. More boxing and more options is a great thing.

My gawd!! This is some serious hatred!! Where do you people come from? Is it because he is black or because he is associated with Mayweather? I want to really know where all these hatred are spewing from.
