And after that you think she will let her biggest fighter sign with Haymon? Unless it's to put on a Kovalev vs Stevenson unification fight Duva wants nothing to do with Haymon. The real threat is Showtime coming in and making a great multi fight offer to steal him from HBO.
All true, but Duva's about business and if a financial package were to present itself from Haymon that beats HBO's she'd take it. She's talked about this kind of scenario in the past where her husband would go from suing King or Arum to working with them the next day. She knows how the sport works. If Haymon gives HBO money with main stream exposure for not just Kovalev, but the rest of her fighters, she'll do what's best for her company & fighters.

They need to postpone any HBO contracts before the WBC pursebid if they're serious about the Stevenson fight. Or at least make an exception to the contract if Haymon wins the bid. Otherwise, it's gonna be Duvas fault if the fight doesn't happen.

Sign the deal, stop mentioning that you want to fight Stevenson. Otherwise, call Uncle Al.

Sergei will get a great deal and be staple HBO fighter. They helped to build him into a mainstream star and he seems to enjoy his journey with HBO. He apparently got a career high purse against Pascal, something along the lines of 3 mill or so. I think he will be taken care of and the relationship to be fruitful for both parties. I expect Sergei to become a PPV attraction very soon.

You'd think showtime would make a big offer, kovalev-stevenson is one of the bigger matches that can be made and it would guarantee they would get the fight and have the winner after its done.

HBO is going to take away the Kovalev vs Stevenson Fight but I don't blame them you cannot let someone like Kovalev contract expire in boxing today with Roc Nation and PBC throwing around the money they been throwing around lately

I like Duva but it is no damn way she can compete with that so HBO locking him up is smart but it sucks for the fans because it really makes Stevenson vs Kovalev very unlikely with a new HBO Deal

How is HBO taking away the Kovalev-Stevenson fight? Reread what you just wrote and use your brain a little.......

You basically just said that Haymon will NOT ALLOW his fighters to fight on HBO.... HBO would make a fight on HBO against a Haymon fighter- Hershman has said this before.

So if Haymon simply refuses to let his fighters fight guys who aren't with Haymon/or on "non-Haymon" networks...... Tell us again how HBO are the ones who are taking away this fight?

Haymon is doing a WWE/UFC type reality show thing and blocking his fighters from fighting non-Haymon fighters (good ones)..... and yet you think it's HBO blocking this fight somehow by resigning a fighter they already had a multi-fight contract with?

Why can't Haymon just let one of his fighters fight against another fighter on HBO for one fight?

You never even responded to my question yesterday..... Where's my list of Haymon versus NON-Haymon fighters who are actually GOOD in the past few years? The only time Haymon matches his fighters against non-Haymon fighters is when it's a showcase fight for one of his fighters against some part-time boxer/total scrub......Lol

                      There is none.......

                      Uncle Al takin' over doe
