Basically you are admitting that GGG's team are full of **** and we shouldn't listen to a damn thing they say. Thanks. You proved my point.
Promoters are full of **** lol

    • let's be honest, the reason they didn't try and make this fight is because lara would need to be paid more than monroe jr but wouldn't draw significantly higher viewing figures - and he's more dangerous. that's not an adequate reason to dismiss a fight to me, especially for a fighter in golovkin's position who is struggling to get decent fights himself

Cotto - we all know that fight had zero chance of happening next. Cotto just signed with a new promotional company and they were never going to make GGG his first fight. He's not officially obligated to take that fight anyway

Quillin - Is fighting Lee. Is with Al Haymon doe. Can't fight on HBO doe. Or do those caveats only apply when it suits Golovkin's team and fans?
You should know the names and players at 160.

        Cotto
        Quillin
        Andy Lee
        N'dam
        Jacobs
        Lemieux
        Billy Joe Saunders

None of these guys can fight Golovkin at the moment. Lee is fighting Quillin, Saunders is fighting on that undercard and apparently gets the shot at the winner, N'Dam is supposedly fighting Lemieux and Cotto is being Cotto. Quillin/Jacobs are being featured on Haymon's PBC Boxing and unlikely will ever fight on HBO (same problem with Lara). That leaves guys like Monroe, Heiland, Johnson and maybe even Sergio Mora for May. Now that's just 160. We can look at 154 for the big names (Canelo is fighting Kirkland, and that's about it for big names...), 168 all the top guys & title holders have fights so it's slim pickings for May. The options for GGG are not to fight at all and sit on the sidelines, or fight a guy like Monroe, Johnson, Mora. That's basically it for now. That is the reality. Don't put me in the same boat of people saying Quillin is ducking because I know he's being featured on PBC. Even if Quillin wants GGG right now it's just unlikely to happen because of HBO/PBC.

I'm glad you agree that GGG's team are liars and full of ****. My thread is further justified. Cheers.

My issue is that why tell the public you can make a fight with Lara and then make absolutely no effort to do so?

It's something that people get onto Haymon fighters for doing. Name dropping fighters and then not making an actual effort to fight them. Why should GGG's team not face the music?

I would have no issue if Loeffler said that the Lara fight was impossible to make or that they tried and failed. Clearly no such thing happened. They went to HBO with 3 names and none of them were Lara.

              • Reminds me of: "Martinez will earn more than $1 million. The Dzinziruk side will receive a package of $850,000.

Dzinziruk was not the first choice for Martinez, adviser Sampson Lewkowicz or DiBella. They had hoped to match Martinez with mandatory challenger Sebastian Zbik, an interim titleholder. However, HBO would not approve him, which led to Martinez being stripped of his WBC belt and Zbik being elevated to its full titleholder. The other leading candidate was Irish contender Andy Lee, who will now fight on the undercard."

HBO has an agenda and maybe Lara wasn't part of it. They do things like this and the fighter who's trying to make his retirement fund goes with it as best as he can I guess. Personally I like the Monroe fight as far as being waiting on Cotto and only a few months away from his last match. That Golovkin's the most ducked guy or whatever? I think he's about where Paul Williams was once. The guys who should've been fighting him weren't but that doesn't mean nobody wanted him at all. Same here.

Lara or Mora or whoever trying to get to a belt would do it but the actual beltholders don't seem to want it so the important people in his division have been legit avoiding him. Ward would fight him but I'm just looking at middleweight. I think Golovkin would fight Ward but his own people probably think he loses that one and that's why they went b!tchy about it.

                    • why all this yapping about Lara? The guy stinks out the joint everytime he fights, and a shot Angulo nearly knocked him into the 3rd row. GGG would ghoul him, and then the trolls would be claiming GGG is picking on 154 pounders. Or if by some miracle Lara made it 12 rounds and lost every second of the fight, they would still claim he got jobbed on the cards lol
