Comments Thread For: Stevenson: To Be Honest, Kovalev Did Not Impress Me

MONTRÉAL – To be ready for the ferocious Cameroon native Sakio" The Scorpion" Bika in their upcoming WBC light heavyweight world title bout live on CBS, April 4th at the Colisée Pepsi in Quebec City, Adonis"Superman" Stevenson came back to Montreal, where he will train in his whole new boxing gym, in the northern surrounds of the city.

"My first trainer, Tiger Paul, selected the place. It is near the highways and all the major roads, said the champion Tuesday, before training for the media. It will also help me to spend more time with my kids and family. I want to help the kids in the gym too."

I'm not going to say he didn't impress me, but I think he is not as flawless as everyone thinks. I'd favour him over stevenson but the fight is honestly almost 50/50. kovalev took body shots poorly, and lost 2 rounds to a low output pascal.

and he claims he was taking the rounds off.
but he was being countered easily.

but I still favour him, but barely.

This f*ggot said something like this before the Fonfara fight too and looked lackluster. Guess Bika will do better than everyone thinks.

I suspect that Sergey's jaw will survive what Stevenson throws at him.
But I doubt that the Adonis who was knocked down by Andrew Fonfara late in their contest can take the Krusher's intensity and power.
          Kovalev in 6.

It's not like Stevenson's looked great in his last two fights either.

Pascal has fought a lot of good fighters and had never been down before. Kovalev hurts him numerous times and stops him in 8 rounds. It's very impressive. Of course he's going to get hit. He's a pressure fighter and relentless. Plus, Pascal is a good fighter. However, Kovalev dominated the fight and hurt Pascal in many different rounds.

oh come on stevensons feet were square and he was clear headed before he even landed.

                    that's like saying
if a grazing shot that pascal threw knocked down kovalev then a flush shot would ko him.
