that's pretty damn good for Spike. It's on par with what Bellator do, maybe slightly better. A card with Lopez-Berto on it was never going to be a rating smash. To put it into perspective Arreola's title fight on ESPN pulled around 900k on the much bigger network. Were people actually think that an event with him on the undercard for a smaller fight would lift the bar? Nobody on that card was capable of drawing in higher numbers so even reaching that number is quite impressive. That's better than 90% of the shows on Spike.
Well I think this got brought up but what it was replacing in their order was reruns of Cops.
Reruns of Cops are alright but that is not appointment television, that is something you stop on flipping around.
This Spike thing is a real challenge because it is not an established boxing outlet, so they have to build that and the network only has so many eyeballs in general.
PBC in general I think is a good idea, Spike TV I don't know if that was their brightest choice.
