Sergey Kovalev wouldn’t be going into an immediate rematch with Jean Pascal anyway, not given his desire to hold all four major world titles at light heavyweight, a desire that will bring him into other showdowns first.

Even without that goal and the obligations that come with it, Kovalev’s promoter says she wouldn’t want to have Kovalev get straight back in with Pascal just yet.

She’s not opposed to it happening again eventually, though.

That would be an absolute pointless fight. Kovalev dominated Pascal the entire fight.... from start to finish. He lost one single round out of 8. Took Pascal's best shots like it was nothing and almost hurt him really badly at the end had the referee not saved Pascal's life.


No thanks. The only way a rematch happens is if they offer Kovalev a BIG payday. It'll simply be a money fight for Sergey- the legacy aspect is over. He Krushed Pascal, made it look easy and Pascal had 0000000% chance to win the first fight, he has even less of a chance to win a second fight.

Adonis is next. Or at least after the mandatory opponents. He has to be. Kovalev is looking for legacy fights- Adonis is next. Sorry Jean.
