Floyd was usually under 150 on fight night. Of course he could make 140, he would only have to drain like 8 pounds. Thats nothing.
FLoyd was lineal at 147 and Hatton at 140. One was going to fight for the others lineal belt either way. Floyd was the bigger star, called the shots. People ***** about Hatton having to fight at 147, but what did he get out of it? He got a shot at the lineal title and got to keep his lineal title at 140 when he lost. He also didnt have to drain to 140, which by his own admission was the whole reason he went to 147 the first time because 140 was such a struggle to make. Hatton weighed more on fight night than floyd, whether it was at 140 or 147. He got a shot at the lineal 147 title and lost, oh ****ing well
Floyd should have went to 140 just for the fact that he could say he is lineal champ in 5 weight divisions instead of just 4 lol
Mayweather always beats Hatton at any time at any weight. Mayweather is just a much better fighter. Mayweather is still undefeated while the younger Hatton has twice been KOed into retirement years ago. Mayweather is on a much higher level than Hatton. That is my opinion anyway.
