Why are we looking at boxers as role models. Kids want to be like them in the ring sure but looking up to a boxer as a role model is dumb. Most boxers aren't role model material, pac included

If your kid is in amateur boxing and studies his fights that's one thing, but no an illiterate abuser of women shouldn't be a damn role model.

You can't choose who the role models are. It's a natural human reflex to imitate the strategies of those who seem to be successful. So anyone elevated in social status can be a role model.

Guys like Pac and Floyd are role models by virtue of their fame and stature. It's not an optional thing.

Freddie wants to get some kind of a moral victory before the fight so that if his fighter loses, he can say at least Pacquiao is a better person.

A real successful young black man always pisses off white America, just because he doesn't have a fake image doesn't make him a bad person, who would've thought that guys like Sugar Ray Leonard or Oscar Dela Hoya were doing *******? who could believe that Pacquiao was out there ****ing bimbos and ******** all night long in Vegas one day? At least Floyd is real about it, I think Floyd is actually very inspirational to kids coming from tough upbringings because he himself was one, he was nothing and he became something, he paid his dues and he deserves to have the freedom to do whatever he ever wanted to do. He got to where he got to by working hard and dedicating himself, you're never born with this kind of skillset, you're not born with this great conditioning, you'r not always in great shape by default, you have to work and work more than everybody else to get these things, and this is not the toughest part, the toughest part is keeping up this work ethic even when you have all the money in world, to train like you don't have a dime even though you have everything, longevity! Nobody has ever been called P4P best fighter in the world at the age of 38 before, nobody was on or near the top of the P4P list for like 17 years straight! To me this is inspirational especially considering the fact that his dad went to prison and his mom was addicted to drugs when he was growing up!

You are very naive, are you from Germany? because your take on America is like a very basic outline with no content yet. White America was really pissed at Muhammed Ali. Floyd is not real about it. As bernard Hopkins so elequantly puts it: "they still have the blood stains in Floyd's gym from when the real badasses came in." Hopkins is MUCH more real than Floyd because Hopkins as a parolee could not get a job, or play the gangster chip. Floyd dedicates himself to his craft like many others...he had MANY advantages because he grew up in a family of boxers. No one would argue that a PHD Physicist who had a dad from Caltech and a mom from MIT ho started him on Quantum Theory at age 11 didn't have advantages...and if that kid had an IQ off the charts because of mom and dad, no one would balk at saying that helped the kid, if the kid discovered how to time travel....so Floyd had the best education money could buy for the ring, fathers, uncles and other family who knew violence, knew fighting and became dedicated to the square circle.

Pacs a cheating bbiiiiaaattcchhh any one with common sense could see the truth ....I can comprehend Floyd marketing from who he is.....I give props to manny if he changed but he was not good all his life...personally none of these fools are role models to me...with Floyd you see what you get ...flamboyant yes but he's a true America story...he also doesn't drink and smoke and has a great work ethic these role model traits ...no one person can claim perfection ....no one on Earth is totally sin free...personally I think PAC is a wolf in sheeps clothing...he's done more than gamble, cheat on wife, cheat election for his wife, do drugs, and cheat taxes...this is common knowledge ...I would put my live he did roids and lied...this would make him full of shhhh...like these mega church preachers hiding behind religion
