Comments Thread For: Czar Glazkov Edges Steve Cunningham By Decision

Watching the fight I was kinda hoping Glazkov would win to spare us the indignity of having to watch Wlad crucify poor Steve, as the fight wore on I began to root for Steve though as he was clearly winning the fight.
All the while I was thinking damn, one of these guys is gonna be challenging Klitschko ? Could their possibly be a worse match up for the champ ? The decision to have this an eliminator is astonishing.
Of the truly remarkably crap defences over the last few years Wlad has put us through this one is going to be the most truly shocking of the lot. Forget the fight last night, Glazkov is now MANDATED ! Blame has to lay squarely at the feet of the IBF, one of the more consistent organisations in finding a worthy challenger for their champions. I'm thoroughly disappointed in them this time. Their is literally no excuses for this being a final eliminator. Hopefully a rematch is ordered and they fight to a draw, upon both being expunged from a potential mandatory title shot.

The rounds were difficult to score, while Steve was pumping a nice jab,Glazkov got the better out of the exchanges and seemed to hurt Steve a couple of times.i heared HBO had Steve winning, but i watched the Canadian telecast, and their scorer had glazkov winning by wide decision.i wouldn't say it was a robbery,to me it could have gine either way...

Steve outboxed him clearly...no debating!!...Czar landed the bigger punches but he's the NATURALLY bigger dude...Steve is a CW masquerading as a HW...so of course he'll fall short in the POWER department, that's not his game anyway...he's a BOXER and he boxed the ish outta Czar...CLEARLY!!

With all the build-up for Mayweather vs. Pacquiao, that fight was bad for boxing, and it's definitely bad for HBO. The Bradley vs. Chaves was bad, and last night was HORRIBLE. A draw would have been disappointing, but a UD Glazkov was just another robbery!

I watched it in French. I had it 115-113 Glazkov. I gave Cunningham 1,3,4,9,12... close rounds but throughout the fight Glazkov seemed to land the harder punches. He landed good combos & I liked his clean pucnhes better then Cunningham's activity. The close rounds I gave Cunningham I could have easily given to Glazkov. I can't say the same thing for Cunningham in the close rounds I gave Glazkov. This fight could have easily been 117-111... The right guy one in my opinion. Not sure why so many call it a robbery. This was in Quebec so no hometown decision here.
