Matter of fact, what title was on the line in the first Barrera fight, which was his coming out party? Was there ever an official title on the line in any of his three fights with Erik Morales? The night JMM knocked him cold, there was no title on the line. So according to your ridiculous logic, most of Manny's career won't be remembered or cared about. Because the majority of his major bouts weren't for official titles.

Sanchez and GGG both know Cotto had no business being in that fight. He's physically not in the same boat. Too small. GGG is looking for a massive pay day and what better way that to eat up small Cotto. GGG-Canelo is more appropriate. And GGG is going to have to wait in line because the Cotto-Canelo fight is coming first. GGG just needs to concentrate on fighting someone with a pulse. Whether that means moving up or moving down. That's the risk he has to take to get that big $$$$.

Yeah, I think Canelo, as far as big names go, would be a good fight for GGG as Canelo is naturally a MW at this point. Quillen too.. But overall, the opposition does not seem too impressive.

I agree, Sergio Martinez was fine, running across the ring. He just beat one of the top P4P fighters with eases. He made his mark at 160 against a healthy Martinez with zero knee problems. But when he finds out he has to fight GGG(his mandatory), now he wants to run back to 154 like he doesn't belong at 160 wit such a dominant performance against a top P4P fighter.

If Cotto doesn't fight GGG, he's a duck. He's not a champion and should kneel before GGG like he has knee problems, and accept that GGG is the better man. Cotto is just wasting everyones time. It's better for boxing, GGG will fight anyone at 160 if he's champion. Not this BS Cotto is doing.
