While watching that fight, I said if he lost to Harper that he should quit boxing. While Harper is better than people gave him credit for, Arreola looked awful and should have been able to put him away.
On a side note: Did anyone else find Tarver's asslicking of Harper irritating? Commentators should not be such cheerleaders.Comment

Arreola said "he cannot weight to get back in the gym" He is a professional fighter he should always be in the gym.Ontario, California - In the swing bout, heavyweight sensation Chris "The Nightmare" Arreola (36-4, 31 KOs) managed to win a hard fought battle against Curtis Harper (12-4, 8 KOs). It appeared that the bout was destined for early stoppage after a near KO by Arreola in the first round. However, Harper was able to compose himself and force the fight to go the distance.

Sure take a couple weeks off after a big hard fight, but his job is to train and fight. He should be close to fighting shape all the time because that is his friggin job , it's not like he has a another job..
Aarreola has never really trained hard enough or had the dedication to become a championComment

I've always pulled for Arreola (he's American and plus I was born in LA), but I'm done with him. Like Southpaw said, he does this after every fight. He shows up and loses or underperforms, then says he is ready to take it seriously and will come in shape next fight. And the process repeats itself again and again. This was a do or die fight for him and he came in fat and looked sloppy. If he can't get in shape for a fight that big, it's just not going to ever happen.Comment
