Lara looked great vs Angulo and Trout, but then looked horrible vs Alvarez and Smith. It's the more recent version of Lara that makes him a hard sell to HBO to overcome the politics between them & Haymon to make this fight happen.

If they're going to get over the Haymon/HBO barrier for a Golovkin fight, I'd rather it be vs Quillin or Jacobs. And by this time next year you can add Khytrov and Derevyanchenko to the mix ahead of Lara.
