How?
Losing to another great fighter hurts your legacy... since when? Some of Tommy Hearns' most legacy-shaping fights were those he lost. Same with Frazier. Him not fighting Manny would've done serious damage to his legacy. Losing to him, especially at age 38 won't affect his legacy. It would be 1 loss vs 47 wins, and that loss coming against an ATG.Comment

Its pretty simple why it would, because of a narrative he helped create of "Ducking", which he is wrongly accused of too much but the claim has stuck. Losing would add credence to that large following of people, that believe Floyd would have had a loss long ago if he wasn't as selective on who and when to fight guys. How?

Those guys you listed dont have that stigma on their career, they are seen as fighting most if not all comers. And Manny is seen that way too right or wrong.Comment

100% Agreed on bold letters! He may not be the most skilled & intelligent but definitely he is the toughest & strongest mentally in boxing today... maybe he is TBE in that category.Stone cold stiff from fear, Pac always is the first to look away and his mouth was about to smile but he was trying to be serious. Why cant you floyd fans just sspeak the truth, its like you have to defend this man and exaggerate ****, he looked shook deal with it, but I said it before Floyd fights his best when he is scared, he will have the reflexes of a cat watch, unless he freezes up and gets caught from fear like Spinks.
So now its about eye contact? Pac was trying to stare Floyd in the eyes at the heat game, and in the hotel room Floyd was sweating in an air conditioned room and talking to Koncz singing praises to Pac, while PAc rolled his eyes like okay lets get it on stop talking and sign the contract.
But Floyd was nervous, not bad mouthing Pac, if he were so confident he would have talked the same **** he talked before about Pac to his face and got up in his grill, but he knows Pac is strong mentally he is not an American born guy he is from the Jungle of the philippines, a different mentality, Pac is probably the strongest fighter mentally, trash talk cannot affect him at all.Last edited by Det. There are a couple of guys Floyd should've fought but didn't. Nothing is going to change that, win or lose. But the fact that he's actually fighting Manny, even if he gets KO'ed in 2, is FAR better than him retiring without facing him. You fight top opposition for long enough, eventually you're going to lose. He's 38, most fighters are completely shot by that age Historically. No one will hold it against him in the long run if he loses. Sure he'll be clowned mercilessly at first, but 10, 15, 30 years from now people will remember that his record was immaculate during his prime and only lost when he was past it... which has happened to countless other champions. Its pretty simple why it would, because of a narrative he helped create of "Ducking", which he is wrongly accused of too much but the claim has stuck. Ali lost to ****ing Leon Spinks for ****ssake and no one bats an eye when he's called the Greatest. And people forget that Ali was a villain character to the masses during his time. But History sorted out his legacy.
Losing to an ATG does not hurt anyone's legacy.Comment

OF COURSE You guys are not going to accept it but Floyd Mayweather Jr does have a VALID POINT. During Pacquiao's Media Hype Machine run (09-2012) all his opponents where either weight drained or coming off taking serious beatings. Miguel Cotto was coming off a brutal beating from Marg and he was also clearly drained on fight night. Ricky Hatton was just not the same after Floyd knocked him out. Oscar De La Hoya was just not healthy on fight night and was completely washed up. Antonio Margarito was coming off a serious KO loss to Shane Mosley etc i mean i could go and on but you get the point.
Floyd Mayweather Jr is NOT GOING to be weight drained and HE HAS NOT taken serious damage in his last fights. I DO GIVE PROPS to Manny for challenging himself though.Comment

Canelo was 165 fight night, pretty low for him, but may have been intentional.
But thats beside the point. Its that this chump is still ragging on Pacs CW, despite himself doing it and worse (2x, reigning Sww champ, unifying, going lineal at a cw)Comment
