Mares has a pretty damn good resume for a young fighter. Why do bitter Rigondeaux fans have to run down other fighters so much?
Why would Quigg and Frampton turn down the chance to earn their highest purses just to fight Rigondeaux sooner? I just can't understand how anyone would think that's logical. Plus this fight will happen in a stadium so it needs to be now.
Even put the money aside, just from a sporting perspective, you should prove you're the best in your own country first before taking on the best in the world.
Quigg isn't beating Rigondeaux in a million years. Frampton will give Rigo a hell of a fight but after he deals with Quigg first. It's been a fight that's been brewing for years.Comment

i remember exactly, after frampton k.o cazarez somebody at rigo camp throw an invitation at him and you keep saying "why should frampton fight rigo when there're another less risky champion and more money fight?". i guess you can use that quote until rigo 40 years old and frampton or squigg finally brave enough to face him.

Frampton has done everything right so far in his career. The Cazares fight was an eliminator for the WBC title. He was in position to fight Santa Cruz who turned down the fight then the Kiko situation came up.
He just fought his mandatory and now he's looking to make the biggest fight available to him. His career and life doesn't revolve around Guillermo Rigondeaux. Funnily enough, he makes decisions based on his own life and not Rigo or the 4 diehard nerds on this forum.
There's nothing wrong with anything Frampton has done in his career. All of his decisions have been the correct ones. He says that after Quigg, he'd like to face Rigondeaux. I don't see anything wrong with that.
I understand that Rigondeux diehards are like a bunch of frustrated ******* at the moment because of the Santa Cruz situation. They got teased and baited then switched. Now they're all angry and lashing out at everyone. I get it. It's still not Frampton's fault.Comment
