Comments Thread For: Casimero Needs TV Support To Avoid Thailand Clash

Unless a Philippine television network provides all-out support for the title bout of former IBF light flyweight champion in his mandatory shot against champion Amnat Ruenroeng of Thailand, the title fight will almost certainly be held in Thailand with all the risks involved.

Casimero’s co-promoter and international matchmaker Sampson Lewkowicz told BoxingScene.com/New Standard /Viva Sports - “I wish a TV network will support Casimero so the fight could he held in the Philippines.”

Stop bitching and take the fight where the Champion decides to defend his belt. GTFO, just because of the incident Casimero underwent in Argentina doesn't mean the same would happen in Thailand. Wtf is wrong with people? Who the hell is the challenger here?

The only time I'm okay with a champion traveling to defend his belt is when there's a bigger purse involved. If there's nothing more to gain by traveling then he is in his right to defend in home turf. After all, Casimero is the challenger here. Since when are beggars choosers?

Amnat won the belt fair and square against Fuentes, beat Ioka in JAPAN, Arroyo in Thailand and traveled once again for Zou to CHINA. Now they expect him to travel yet again to defend his own crown in hostile territory? Tell Nietes to defend his strap in 3 of his next 5 fights in the challengers backyard and post his reply. GTFO lol.

I agree. Since Casimero is the challenger he should have no problem going to Thailand to fight Amnat.

Besides Casimero beat the crap out of Pedro Guevara in Mexico when he was the Junior Flyweight Champ.

Thailand is notorious for hometown decision that's what Casimero is afraid of.
