You know, there are so many hypocrites in the world of boxing fans, just yesterday some in here were legitimately concerned with Thurmans well being when it was reported that he was taken to the hospital after the fight. Some even pointed out how these guys put their lives on the line for our entertainment. There was talk about what happened to Mago and other fighters. Has anyone seen what Wilfred Benitez, Wilfredo Gomez and even poor Meldrick Taylor are like these days. And now people like Cotto are finally getting paid and some on here have the nerve to say he is being over paid. In the word of Roy Jones JR "ya'll must of forgot" Cotto has never been in a boring fight he has thrilled us with some action packed fights, he's been in some career ending battles and still has come back and provided some more wars never shell shocked. Adrian Broner took a little beating at the hands of Maidana and now says he's not fighting for the fans again.

I'm still here homie, yeah I picked Sergio to win the fight, put money on him, and points on him and he lost...all done before we knew all the facts. Gavin Rees would've beaten Sergio that night and that's saying plenty.

Funny thing is Broner was just a victim of his own style. It had nothing to do with him fighting for the fans. He stands in front of all his opponents and walks them down. It just wasn't a good idea to do it against a WW who hit hard and threw a lot of punches. Please.

Your post does not take into account that LIFE, is ever changing and things happen. I will use my wedding analogy again. When a couple gets married, it's, "forever do us part..." Somebody fcks up, cheats maybe... And now, things have CHANGED. Trust is out the window etc.


So yes, at one point Cotto wanted to do what he felt at that time, was the honorable thing. Is Cotto bound to be a sucker for life as a result of his initial intention PRIOR to Arum revealing his dirty hand?
