You can see the arrogance of Cotto to put himself on a pedestal with Mayweather and De La Hoya.

The only reason he's relevant again is because of Top Rank's matchmaking.

They can make their money back with just these two fights, vs Canelo and vs GGG and contrary to popular belief around here these fights can still happen in that order. But the first PPV fight might be against Khan to decide Mayweather last fight on his Showtime contract before he re matches Pac for his last fight period.

The math doesnt work out at all. Even the Canelo fight will do well to cover Cottos minimum

I KNEW I had heard Cotto say this somewhere and it wasn't hard to find.

"I began as a professional boxer with Top Rank. They made me the boxer I am right now.....Where else better to finish my career at than Top Rank?"

            Who's the liar again?

              Arrogance?

He's the third highest in PPV behind Pacquiao and Floyd, paid his dues and is solidifying one last mega money package before he exits the sport.

Would you feel better if he stood with Top Rank and fought the Tim Bradley's and Brandon Rios of the world? Or would you just b1tch about that to?

For once,im with you dirk. Arum rebuilt cottos career, after he was coming off a two loss streak against floyd and trout. He got him freddie roach, and basically set him up to get the middleweight belt, and yet cotto is acting as if arum has done nothing for him. All im seeing on this thread is alot of cotto fan,and bob arum haters, applauding a boxers buisness decisions, more than his actions inside the ring. Who cares that hes getting paid 50 million? What i want to know is who is he going to fight, that makes him worth that much. If hes truly the third biggest draw in boxing,he should do something of that caliber. Either fight GGG,or drop the belt and fight a live body at 154 like erislandy lara.

The Miguel Cotto loves him some Miguel Cotto, Miguel Cotto respects Miguel Cotto. Top Rank helped Miguel Cotto not by working for Miguel Cotto but by Miguel Cotto working for top rank. Miguel Cotto sat down with Duboef and said Miguel Cotto wants to buy Miguel Cotto a belt from the handsome argentinian with half a good leg and I said to miguel cotto "Miguel Cotto thinks he would look pretty in Miguel Cotto's pink....shirt". Miguel Cotto thinks that Miguel Cotto is a star, No...Miguel Cotto thinks that Miguel Cotto is a brand. Miguel Cotto has not beaten a top five ranked healthy fighter in six plus years but Miguel Cotto knows that Miguel Cotto is the everything of everything that revolves around Miguel Cotto.

And let's not forget when he said "Bob Arum Will ALWAYS Be My Promoter"

Not knocking Cotto or defending Arum, but the quotes in that article were.... yeah...

I have no issue with Cotto taking the Roc Nation deal if it was the best one out there but he's clearly up his own arse.

If it wasn't for Top Rank's matchmaking, he wouldn't be in a position to be getting those kinds of offers in the first place.

FYI, his last PPV with Martinez completely tanked. Canelo Alvarez was doing similar numbers against lesser fighters.

Bradley and Rios are **** opponents, sure. Lets see who he actually fights.
