International referee Luis Pabon will be the third man on the ring at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada on Saturday March 14 - for the WBA/IBF/WBO light heavyweight title fight between the super champion Sergey Kovalev and challenger Jean Pascal.

The judges will be César Ramos (PUR), Zoltan Enyedi (HUN) and Richard Davies (UK), and the supervisor will be Mike McAleenan (US).

Kovalev (26-0-1, 23 KO’s) defends the unified crown he won on November 2014 with a twelve round decision victory over Bernard Hopkins. Pascal (29-2-1, 17 KO’s) is a former WBC champion who lost his crown to Hopkins several years ago.

Something has to be done about these refs skreww-ing with the outcome of the fights. Blasted Bayless breaking up Guererro and Thurman way too much this past Sat. That idiot must have the lamest of the lame Joe Cortez as his mentor. My demise will probably be me watching a fight, smashing my fist thru the TV and getting high voltage-ized to death.

Bayless let Guerrero and Thurman spend 2 minutes of a round chest to chest. He didn't break them up unless absolutely necessary once Guerrero brought the fight inside.

How does Pabon keep landing big fights? This is ridiculous.

He reffed Golovkin v Murray and did something ******, can't remember what it was but someone will. He ended a round early in Haye-Chisora, he's not good but ends up with some of the biggest bouts.
