I felt Mosley would get destroyed but it wasn't like when Hopkins was fighting Pavlik where I thought he would take a life changing beating. Still feel Hopkins win over Kelly was more impressive.

Yeah no one saw that coming. Many thought it was a stay busy fight when it was signed as Margacheato still hoped to get a fight with ODL that next May. When Pac retired Oscar many though Cheato would just walk through Mosley and move on.
Even when they announced that he had been caught with the plaster wraps I still thought he would win.

I agree. Margarito knew what was going to happen at the other end of the fight and it wasn't going to be pretty.

I'm sure that once Mosley heard what happened, it boosted his confidence like crazy. Also, Mosley had the perfect game plan. From what I remember, a bit too much holding too my liking but he certainly did upset the favorite.

I had it 50/50.... If mosely can land on you, he has legit power and can stop you, and margarito is very hittable...
If I was forced to choose at the time, I would have said margarito via close decision, much like how shane lost to cotto..

I honestly never would have imagined shane putting the beat down on tony like that...
Makes me think margarito was badly damaged and ruined in that cotto fight, even though he won, kinda like Hagler was after the hearns war

Not one bit, Mosley smothered him, tied him up...Shane pretty much manhandled him. Williams had success doing some of that but he never wrestled Margarito into no corner the way Mosley did. Margarito did the usual, started smiling every time he got tagged and unlike against Cotto, it had no psychological affect on Mosley.

I picked Shane by decision.

Only thing that shocked me was the KO. I didn't expect a KO

But as the fight was happening you could tell that a KO was coming, no one can take those kind of bombs at that level of consistency. It's just not possible.
