What surprised me was a couple Floyd fans saying they didn't accept what Floyd did. But, were they just saving face and being disingenuous, or were they really pissed at Floyd. Hard to say.

Kid, only a fool excuses a complete hypocrite. Floyd insisted on a catch weight after publically insulting Pac for the Cotto fight, only to do the exact same thing! And many of Floyds fans hooted and hollered for years about the catch weight Pac placed on Cotto and then when Floyd did it, they either became quiet as a church mouse or had the nerve to actually defend Floyd for doing the exact same thing. Floyd embarrassed himself and his fans big time, actually the fans embarrassed themselves. This is just as much about Floyd as it is his fans.....and words on the internet and in public are louder than actions and speak volumes about character. He, and his fans were full of crap! Take a seat, kid, you are out of your league on this. Go find yourself a debate where you might have a leg to stand on.

I may have missed some of those 24/7 episodes but if he said it, I take your word for it as to what he said before the fight. After the fight, one of the things he said was that the weight was not a problem....though he may have changed his mind or said something different before or after.

His game plan was dumb but yes Canelo did say that about the weight prior to the fight. I think it was during one of the ALL ACCESS episodes.
