Contracts are not signed with the benefit of hindsight, a$$wipe alt. Its real simple dumbfcuk, Pac came in as underdog, huge in expert opinion, won every second and made the cherrypicker retire on his stool. Thats why it was a big and memorable win

I see, you are basing the necessity of a catchweight on the outcome of the fight. I was basing it on the requestor's reasoning. Mayweather knew that Alvarez is so much naturally bigger and stronger than he is, one connected punch could have ended his evening. A full-strength Alvarez certainly would have had more of a puncher's chance.

I understand what you are saying about catchweights from a boxing purist's point of view: If one fighter needs the advantage of a catchweight, he shouldn't be facing his naturally larger opponent in the first place. Or the fight shouldn't bear much significance, because it is nothing more than a glorified exhibition. But sometimes, it's just fun to watch!

Pac was not around Hoyas weightclass, **** for brains. Fighting a guy that much bigger is a significant health risk, his career could have ended right there on a bad knockout.
