Sparring partners are brought in for a variety of reasons. He still has a dang good straight left hand and a right hook. You don't need a 100% Zab to get good sparring in with because a 100% Zab is not the caliber of fighter you spar for an entire camp if you want to be relatively healthy by the end of camp.

You guys are supposed to be boxing fans. Can you use your heads? No shyt he could easily go get a bum ass copy of Manny Pacquiao like Gesta. He obviously isn't lacking for resources, but would a copy of Manny Pacquiao be able to hang with Mayweather for an entire camp scompared to a former world champ like Zab? That's why you bring in a variety of guys that do different things. That's why they have more than one sparring partner.

I said Gesta's name in another thread about who each should get for sparring for the fight.

IMO it would have been a good personto get.

Be all you can be - No pressure

In sparring, Zab will not have the pressure of a 'real' fight so he is free to box/fight in whatever manner to get to Mayweather. In which case, he can be a huge benefit or a dud.

Plus, Zab likes to talk and brag. He will not like being beaten by Floyd. Imagine if he still have a chip on his shoulder towards Mayweather...

zab judah beat floyd jr in their fight I had zab winning the fight.this wont help duckweather jr at all since zab is old and shot to hell zab doesn't have the speed he used to have.algieri used zab as a sparring partner and that obviously didn't help him against Pacquiao.

Only the movement is slightly similar but that's it. Plus he's too small to push Mayweather in sparring. It wouldn't benefit him in the least IMO. Also he would be unavailable because he doesn't want to be a Filipino going against enemy #1.
